Twenty Four beats Twelve!

When we were considering the right angle for the north facing panels we had to take into account the angle of the sun in both summer and winter. As the panels are fixed rather than tracking, we needed to get it right so we achieved the best average output over the whole year. So we had two different angles modelled by an independent expert company to see which worked best – and 24 degrees was better than 12 degrees. So we’ve settled on 24 degrees fixed north facing.
